Our Bright Red PVC Backed Coir is cut to size the next working day here in our Lincoln workshop. It is then packed and put on a next working day delivery.

We send all our orders via DHL and you will receive a tracking email from us by 5pm on the day of despatch.
We ask that you provide a mobile number with your delivery address. We pass this number over to DHL as they will text you with a time slot of when your order should be delivered. If you do not provide us with a mobile number an email shall be sent instead.

At the point of placing your order, you can state a safe place to leave your order if you are out, or you can opt to leave it with a neighbour.
Within the DHL text or email providing your timeslot, there is the option to rearrange delivery or have it sent to a service point to be collected from there.

What colour is coir?

Coir, derived from the fibrous husk of coconuts, undergoes a specific extraction process. First, the coconut husks are soaked in water for several months to loosen the fibres. Next, they are beaten to separate the coir fibres from the rest of the husk. These fibres naturally possess a golden-brown hue. However, coir matting like our Bright Red Coir Matting can be dyed during manufacturing to achieve vibrant colours. Thus, coir can range from its natural brown to any dyed shade that fits your decor.

How do I choose a coir doormat?

When choosing a coir doormat, consider the following factors:

• Thickness: PVC backed coir should be installed indoors and into a matwell/recess. When looking at the thickness of the mat you need to take into consideration how deep your matwell/recess is. Our Bright Red PVC Backed Coir only comes in 17mm thickness. However, if your matwell/recess is deeper, then just place plywood in the bottom of the well in order to raise the mat up, so the fibres are flush with the top of the well.
• Colour: We offer mats in a wide range of colours. Think about how your mat will fit into your environment. We offer logo mats too if you'd like to promote your brand.
• Backing: The backing is crucial when you are deciding where to put the mat. PVC backed coir ideally needs to sit in a matwell/recess or confined area. If you'd like to keep a coir mat under shelter outside consider a woven-backing, as PVC can let water in and cause the coir to rot.

How long does coir last?

Coir doormats and our coloured coir matting can last a long time with proper care. To extend the lifespan of high quality materials your coir mat, avoid getting it excessively wet, as this can lead to rotting. Regularly shake out or vacuum the mat to remove dried dirt and debris after heavy foot traffic. Also, if it has a woken-backing place it in a sheltered outdoor area to protect it from heavy rain.
